David Evans was born in April 1858 in Ironton, Ohio, the only child of John and Catherine Kitty. He married Belinda OHara on January 3, 1883, in Chicago, Illinois. They had 13 children in 28 years. He died on March 19, 1926, in Chicago, Illinois, at the age of 67, and was buried in Evanston, Illinois.
When Belinda OHara was born on September 2, 1864, in Portland, Maine, her father, Michael, was 29 and her mother, Alice, was 28. She died on January 27, 1913, in Chicago, Illinois, at the age of 48.

In 1900, David was 41 and a day laborer. Belinda was 35 and a housewife. They had four daughters
and four sons.

David was 63 and a widower for seven years. He was still working at the stockyards, presumably till his death five years later. These records show his father, John Evans, being born in Wales, and his mother, Kitty O'Neill, being born in Ireland.
